QUOTE OF THE WEEK

All love that has not friendship for its base, is like a mansion built upon sand. -Ella Wheeler Wilcox
I am feeling this quote a lot. This week the focus will be on love. This quote says exactly what I preach about being in a relationship and loving your partner. The basis of a relationship for me is friendship. The foundation is friendship. I want my man to be my friend. Knowing that I could go to him at any time and talk to him about whatever is on my mind. Whether it's relationship issues between the two of us or a new passion or hobby. It's reassuring knowing you're with someone you can confide in and feel extremely comfortable with. The friendship foundation build upwards when establishing your relationship. It balances out trust and knock out the insecurities. When you can trust that your best interests are always first hand, there is never any need to doubt. This is not to say that we all don't go through those rough patches. And sometimes needing that extra reassurance. Making sure the relationship is stable and well balanced. (You ladies know exactly what I mean). LOVE really is a beautiful thing.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

There is a very fine line between loving life and being greedy for it.- Maya Angelou
Lately on a lot of my social networks I've been noticing that a lot of my social associates and friends have been loving life to the fullest. Enjoying the wonderful things that life has to offer, along with making things happen all on their own. It's great and refreshing and this quote states just that. You have to live in that moment and cherish all aspects. The good the bad the ugly. Don't become so consumed with over analyzing everything that crosses your path. Allow things to just be and you maneuver yourself to where it works for you and possibly in your favor. I can honestly say that I'm a great lover of life and I thank God for everyday he allows me to wake up another day. Don't worry be happy love life and be thankful for it.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command. -Alan Watts
I'm so glad that I came across this quote. I was having a conversation last night about this exact subject. I explained that love CANNOT happen by default. Love is an emotion that is real and unconditional. Lust can never replace love, although it is sometimes confused for love. So lovers love on and lusters find love. LOL. It really is a beautiful thing.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK 08/17

"The first step is the hardest" - Madame De Vinchy Deffand
I must say that this quote has to be one of my top quotes for liking. Reason is in life we all have obstacles to over come. We faulter and try to strive on for the next one. Most times people get in the way of themselves. I know I am my own biggest hold back. I have so many things and ideas that I want to accomplish and I'm taking my time. Why? I don't know. I have been doing better here lately. It could be the extra time on my hands, or just pure determination to make things happen for my lil Princess and myself. All we have is time. Time is precious. I vow to start on something on my list and not take my time about doing it. Stop being my own obstacle. Not allowing my first step to be the hardest. I challenge you to do the same. Let me know how it turns out. Don't let the first step be the hardest. Allow the obstacles that come from that point afterwards to carry that weight of being the hardest to overcome.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK 08/10

"Anyone who stops learning is old whether at age twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young"
-Henry Ford
It is important to expand your mind. There is a saying that ignorance is bliss. I say the opposite. There isn't anything positive or blissful about being ignorant to everyday life. Don't sell yourself short or allow your mind to grow old because it's not being used to its best abilities. Feed your mind and keep it young, it's the only one you have. Common sense isn't so common and you don't want to find yourself on that side of the field.
